Pain and Glory

Aging filmmaker Salvador Mallo is struggling with chronic pain, depression and a creative block. As he reconnects with people from his past—including an actor he once worked with and a former lover—memories of his childhood, his mother and his first experience of desire resurface. Confronting addiction, loss and unresolved love, Salvador gradually finds a way back to filmmaking. His memories ultimately become the material for a new film, blurring the boundaries between life, memory and art.
